Happy Galentine’s Day

My assistant, Winnie, helped with set-up.

I had spent over a day trying to bake a heart shaped red velvet cake with a cream cheese frosting. Unfortunately, I used a pan that was too deep for
this two layer cake I had planned in my head for weeks.

Instagram vs. Reality:

It was still delicious!

As for the decor, I used:

  • A hand-dyed tablecloth by local Spain artisans by Gab Foods.

  • Heart balloons, of course.

  • A large bouquet of pink tulips and pincushion flowers.

  • My collection of Hotel Magique Love plates

  • Heart-shaped pasta with a home-made basil tomato sauce.

  • Red tapers (Beeswax for a longer burn)

  • Moscow Mule & Raspberry Margarita ingredients.
(The raspberry marg was a hit. I used mostly limes over lemons.)

  • Little hanging dudes from Party City

And lastly,

I created a little postcard for the girls to write 3 things they love about themselves the most (to then share if they felt inclined to).

The night ended with strong, beautiful and confident female energy.
Happy Galentine’s to all the independent and incredible women out there.
